Today we can announce a change for what many consider to be the top
team in Europe. After a recent fall out when made promises were broken
by multi-gaming organisation
The
Last Resort, the team also known as
clutchmasterz
have decided to find a new home that they can be proud of and more
importantly, an organisation that can deliver. After some discussion
the team have decided to join the long standing outfit of
FirstFrag.
Past events can show that this MGO, run by

Julian "
Tront"
Trought, is a very well respected and reliable place to call home.
After the success of sending their main dods team to
zP! LAN
last year, only to see them fold a short while after, they have been on
the lookout to add some fresh names to the roster.
The line-up for
FirstFrag
will currently stay the same as I'm sure you know the saying: "If it's
not broke, don't fix it". However, the recent news of
RBZ
taking on a new job might see this change in the near future but I'm
sure that whatever happens, this team can continue to go from strength
to strength. They are competing in the
ESL Major Series
where they are currently unbeaten and are due to face
rctic,
this Thursday, for a spot in the final of the upper bracket. Here is
what team owner

Julian "
Tront"
Trought and captain

Matthew "
turtz"
Coppard had to say about this news:
Julian "Tront" Trought statement:
At
Firstfrag we have always supported competitive Day of Defeat: Source
from day one of the games release. We try not to just to support top
teams but up and coming teams and players. When the TLR guys approached
me I jumped at the chance to support them and not just because they
have the potential to be the best team in DODS ever.
Matthew "turtz" Coppard statement:
Well
basically we had been waiting for the TLR management to give us an
answer on the funding front for zP! LAN #2 which they had promised they
would be able. We had kept trust in the organisation. But given the
time left before we were informed that it isn't possible for us to have
the support within the time frame needed. So that being said, we have
gone back to the UK routes, to a smaller organisation, but we will be
more than happy to boost the name of FirstFrag back to the top of the
EU Day of Defeat scene.
As far as the future goes, we are just starting to get our
head down and focus on EMS and the up and coming games we have. We had
a long period over Christmas off, so we are all re-charged and ready to
go. Only problem is with RBZ’s new job, and his inactivity
which is a
hiccup in our current situation as far as activity and practice goes.
However recent practice has been promising and we hope to get back to
the top of our game soon enough, and focus on taking home the EMS
title. Would just like to also say a big thanks to Julian for stepping
up and taking us on board at FirstFrag, and also to Mike at TLR despite
the way things turned out.

So,
FirstFrag will be playing with
the following line-up:
Matthew "turtz" Coppard
Joseph "bRN" King
Robert "RBZ" Andersson
Alexander "RiN" Angear
Antti "ruohiz"
RuohomÃki
Luke "LUK3^" Lee
